Company Overview

Tung Shin Hospital is a Hospital formerly known as Pooi Shin Thong, founded in 1881 by Chinese Captain Yap Kwan Seng, and is located at Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur. Initially, it only provides traditional medical care for patients. In 1894 it was transformed into a nonprofit organization and its name was changed to Tung Shin Hospital. The hospital then shifted to the present address. A new single-story ward built in 1917. Built in 1959 into a double-lettered health ward and completed in 1961. Built and named the Welfare Ward and since then the Chinese medical ward was built and named. Loke Yim Ward. In 1963 it was rebuilt into a two-story Wardrobe that completed a year later.
